A contemporary take on glamourous rooms...

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Julie-Ann and the other hard working volunteers at the Decorating Forum. Julie-Ann is featuring my blog over at the forum this week so if you've popped through from there please say hello and let me know you're here!

For those of you that don't know the forum it's a great place to look for design ideas and to pick the brains of the other creative minds (both professional and non-professional) of people all around Australia!

And please, even if you're not a blogger yourself, leave a comment. People's feedback is what makes blogging so enjoyable and it's always great to start a conversation about what people are loving or hating. You can leave anonymous or Name/URL comments here so you could even link back to your building thread at the forum if you wanted. :)

Hollywood Regency is an extremely popular style at the moment but for some, it's a little over the top and a little bit too 'out there' with its mix of patterns, high gloss finishes and bold colours.

If you still like a little glamour though, there is plenty of gorgeous inspiration out there for modern rooms with clean lined furniture, simple forms and colour palettes and just enough mirror, glitz or shine to give it that glamorous edge.

So, do you prefer a more traditional glamour, or this stream-lined version? Do any of these pictures grab your eye?
