One area of decorating I find a lot of people have trouble is with is getting that 'finished' look. They have beautiful furniture, colours, rugs and cushions but the room still doesn't feel quite right. The area that makes the biggest difference to this, is the vignettes.
They can probably be the cheapest part of the room; you can use pieces you already have around the house, but carefully arranged they provide one of the biggest style features in a room.
Take bedside tables for an example, they are normally one of the only display areas you find in a modern bedroom, so make them good! How much style can you put in such a small space? Let's see...
