Feature Home: Colourful Industrial Loft

I know a lot of people dream of living in the classic New York loft. In fact, although we don't exactly have lofts in town I've even found myself eyeing off some of the older buildings as the perfect places to create industrial urban apartments.

It's always interesting to see how others adapt to a small space, or decorate with an industrial edge, and this loft, designed by architect Omer Arbel, is a great example.

A classic white contemporary kitchen (above) but I love the contrast with the dark timber beams above.

The open space (below) seems to have concrete floors throughout, with oiled timber beams above. That navy velvet sofa is calling my name!

The bedroom has an exposed brick wall which has been sandblasted. The primary toned red and blue bedroom is fun and modern without feeling too childish.

The ensuite is tiled in mosaics from floor to ceiling and, if I'm right here, is that a textured concrete wall? What a great way to an interesting industrial feature to a bathroom.

This has to be one of the most attractive towel holders (below) I've ever seen. I'd love to find some old shop fittings for my place!

A simple outdoor space is enlivened with a gorgeous wall of greenery and pops of orange accessories. Rosemary is the perfect plant for a centerpiece - hardy yet pretty!

Finally, I saved my favourite room for last...the dining room. To be honest, although this isn't really 'my' style, I like everything about this space; the exposed brick, the amazing abstract art, the long cafe style table and the glamorous chandelier.

So any favourite parts? I'm pretty sure I wouldn't so well living in a completely open plan space - I love having separate rooms, but I wouldn't mind the extra ceilings and all that amazing natural light.
