Even though we don't have an Ikea in North Queensland, I occasionally browse their site for inspiration, or on the off chance that I can drive down one of these days for a shopping trip.
I was looking at side tables and come across this...
This is the 'Vejmon' side table from Ikea. It's birch veneer and is $199 in Australia. I don't like this table that much but it looked familiar. And, then I remembered!
It looks like this table I thought about using for a recent project...
This table is the 'Bahru' side table from Far Pavilions. I actually think this table is much nicer. It's solid timber, feels a little more graceful and has a nicer colour stain. Ironically, it's normally also $199, and is now on sale for $149.
Ha! Bet you never thought the more expensive item would be from Ikea.
