My House - Before

So, just to prove why it is taking me so long to put up pictures of my place I thought I'd put up a few photos of what it looked like when we moved in...

 Don't you just love the colours? The quality of workmanship? The vintage touches? Oh, and just to make it even better, in the 80s most of the original lighting was ripped out and replaced by fluorescent tubes behind the curtain valances!

But you should be able to also see the reasons we like the house...the solid timber floors, the high ceilings (about 3m), the original casement windows, the tongue and groove walls (although these are a *#%* to paint). So, we are on our way to having painted the kitchen, living, entry and two bedrooms. The wall will soon be knocked out to create a larger living space, plus we are building in under the house to create another bedroom, a rumpus room and an office.
